โ˜€๏ธ Stay Safe in the Heat ๐ŸŒก๏ธ

Hot summer days are perfect for enjoying the outdoors, but high temperatures can quickly lead to heat-related illnesses if you’re not careful.

Here are a few simple ways to stay safe:

๐Ÿ’ง Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don’t feel thirsty.
๐Ÿงข Wear lightweight, light-coloured clothing, a hat, and sunscreen.
๐ŸŒณ Take frequent breaks in the shade or an air-conditioned space.
๐Ÿ‘ถ Check on children, older adults, and pets, as they are more vulnerable to the heat.
๐Ÿšซ Never leave children or pets unattended in a parked vehicle.

Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke:

  • Heavy sweating or, in severe cases, hot, dry skin
  • Dizziness or fainting
  • Headache
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Confusion or unusual behaviour
  • Rapid pulse

Heat stroke is a medical emergency. If someone becomes confused, loses consciousness, or has a high body temperature, call 911 immediately and move them to a cool place while waiting for help.

Enjoy the sunshine, but remember to take care of yourself and those around you. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and have a safe summer! โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ’™
