Wildfire and Flooding Update: Wednesday, July 22, 2026 (as of 2:30 p.m.)
There are currently 55 active wildfires in Saskatchewan. Status of the fires are: seven Contained, five Not Contained, 38 Ongoing Assessment and six Protecting Values.
Updates on a few current fires:
BUDD Fire:
Status: Not Contained
Current size: 10,849 hectares
Operations: Crew on the west flank received 20 hoses for setup. Crews continue to patrol for hot spots, with bucketing crews supporting suppression efforts on the fire line.

BORDER Fire
Status: Not Contained
Current size: 19,513 hectares
Operations: Crews are continuing to push hose lines, demobilizing old lines and moving equipment. Additional helicopter pads are being cut. Operational priorities and resource deployment will be adjusted accordingly to address fire growth, should it occur.

The SPSA currently has four active Declarations of Local Emergency due to flooding (no change from Sunday). These include:
• Keeseekoose First Nation;
• The RMs of Meadow Lake, Sliding Hills and Wolverine
The SPSA is currently providing resources and support to the following communities:
• The RMs of Wolverine, Leslie Beach, Cote and Lake Lenore.
• The village of Sheho and town of Norquay
• Duck Mountain Provincial Park
• The communities of North Shore Fishing Lake, Chorney Beach and Burgis Beach.
